American Red Cross Lifeguard Training Course
Every year Camp Hillcroft will be offering this class towards the end of June . This course is given in a three-day residential program format, including room and board. Candidates will live here at camp for the entire course, arriving early Saturday morning, and finishing Monday afternoon. The course is strenuous; you should be a very strong swimmer, a 500-yard swim is included in the course prerequisites. A physical exam by your physician is required for all candidates, a medical form will be supplied upon registration. Upon satisfactory completion of the course, American Red Cross certification will be given for:

Lifeguard Training (including First Aid) – valid for 3 years.

CPR/AED for Lifeguards – valid for 1 year.

Waterfront Lifeguarding – valid for 3 years with a current Lifeguard Training certificate.
All of the criteria must be met in order to successfully complete the course.
